It will be fixed in its next version. It may take time, most probably it will be released at the end of the next month. Meanwhile, you can use this method to reset your edge browser manually: https://www.techsupportall.com/repair-reset-microsoft-edge-browser/

Laser printer in 4k is a very good deal!! It doesn’t matter if it is a single function printer. I cannot say how stable it will be, but in my first impression it looks sturdy.

If you are looking for color printing then I recommend you to go with the Ink tank one. If you are looking for black and white prints only then I’d suggest a Laser printer because it gives you more speedy print outs than the Ink tank one.

    Try this:

    1) Start your computer in safe mode.

    2) Disable all startup services from MSCONFIG command

    3) Disable all startup applications from MSCONFIG command

    4) Make sure you are using only one antivirus at a time.

    5) Make sure the Windows defender antivirus is turned off if you’re using a 3rd party antivirus on your computer.

    6) If this doesn’t work for you then make sure your computer is virus / Malware / trojan free. Scan your computer from Malwarebytes, HitmanPro, Zemana Anti-malware programs.

    Keep me updated.

If you don’t see the Ggraphic card settings then you can install its official app from here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000055711/graphics.html

After installing it, you can see the Intel software comes in your system tray. See the following screenshots for more details:

Your computer got infected with “STOP Ransomware [DJVU]” that encrypts the pictures and documents and other files. You also get a message that asks you for ransom to decrypt the encrypted files. The files that have been converted to .jpg to .jpg.format is encrypted with STOP ransomware. Without decryption you can open and use these files.

You must have a text file on your desktop named: _readme.txt which has all the information about that ransom.

Is it asking for an offline key to decrypt the files? If so, try this Stopdecrypter tool to get it activated (After that remove it). Try Quickheal decrypter tool as well if the stop decrypter doesn’t work.

After decrypting your files, remove the ransomware from your computer using the following tools.

    1. HitmanPro

    2. Malwarebytes

    3. Use Online virus scanner & removal tool.

I think you got ransomware on your computer due to lack of antivirus security. We suggest you use good security on your computer to protect your computer from viruses. Check out our Antivirus deals page to get a good antivirus at a smart price.

in reply to: How do i get back my old edge? #25370

Agreed with @pk. Uninstall the chromium-based edge browser from the control panel and then reboot your computer. Your old ‘Microsoft Edge Legacy’ browser will be back in shape.

But what will happen if Windows update will update it again? In this case, you can stop doing thisĀ  particular action by creating a registry policy. Let’s see how:

Step 1: Open the Registry Editor and then go to the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft

Step 2: Right-click on Microsoft key and move the mouse pointer to New and then click on Key.

Step 3: Name the new key EdgeUpdate and click on OK.

Step 4: After creating, click on newly created EdgeUpdate.

Step 5: Now right-click on the right-side pane and move your mouse pointer to New and then click on “DWORD (32-bit) Value“.

Step 6: Name the key’s value DoNotUpdateToEdgeWithChromium and click on OK.

Step 7: After created, double-click on the ‘DoNotUpdateToEdgeWithChromium’ value and change its value data to 1

Step 8: That’s it, reboot your computer once. Your current edge browser will not update automatically or manually until you revert to the steps above.

If you want to get a new chromium-based browser in the future, then you can revert the steps.

It seems like .txt extension has lost its default app to open *.txt files. You just need to restore its default app. Follow the steps below:

Step 1: Open any *.txt file. You’ll get a popup to select the program.

Step 2: Click on the link: “Look for another app on this PC

Step 3: You must use the notepad app listed there. Click on the notepad app and then click on OK.

Step 4: If you don’t see the notepad app there, then you’ll have to reset or reinstall the notepad app from its settings. Let’s see how to do it.

Step 5: Run the following command in powershell:
    “Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.WindowsNotepad* | Remove-AppxPackage”

That’s it. Hopefully this issue will be fixed after applying these steps. Please let us know if it doesn’t work.
