Windows 10 update and incompatibility issue with Trend Micro

Windows 10 users who are using the trend micro antivirus may face issues with the latest windows 10 updates (version 1809). Microsoft has re-released this update after a pause due to some bugs. Microsoft and trend micro reported a compatibility issue with OfficeScan and Worry-Free Business endpoint security software. Windows stated that “To ensure a seamless update experience, we are blocking devices running the affected business endpoint security products from being offered Windows 10, version 1809, until a specific Trend Micro Critical Patch (CP) is applied.”

    Trend Micro has disappeared from my computer and I tried to find my account yesterday and used my password. I opened my account and it showed my account was good to 2040 and gave me the serial # but it still is not on my computer. I need protection.

    1. Sometimes the Trend micro icon doesn’t show in system tray, it doesn’t mean that it is not working. All the anti-viruses work in the background. To make sure that, you may check the “TMBMSRV.exe” process is still running in the task manager or not. If you do not find it in your task manager, it means it is not working.
      In other way, make sure you did not install any other anti-malware, anti-virus, anti-spyware software on your computer because they can conflict with Trend micro.
      Solution:
      We suggest you to please reboot your computer once. If it doesn’t start the Trend micro after reboot, then start it manually and update its virus definition and do a full scan of your computer and then reboot your computer once again. If this did help you, so please try to update your windows.

    I hate that you disabled right mouse click. I can’t RMC and open into a new tab or new window. Whomever disabled this feature clearly does not use the Internet.
