I’ll have to reinstall my windows due to a virus attack. But I am confused what to back up before reinstalling Windows operating system? I plan to install Windows 10. Please suggest me what to do and what not.
Since you have already identified the problem being a virus attack I suggest you just back up your personal data i.e documents, music, movies, etc.. and proceed with the clean install. Make sure you synchronize your settings, bookmarks, cookies and passwords if you still need them so that you can restore immediately after installation is complete.
After installation update your windows security and scan your data before copying back to your PC to avoid the spread of the virus.
