    Im interested in streaming audio with a radio application on a remote server, do I have to get a hosting provider that has audio enabled on their servers?

    I am not an expert, but I think, yes you require some kind of specific program or script installed on the server like ShoutCast etc. so that listeners can connect to the stream. You can check the documentation of the software that you are going to stream with like icecast.
