I have several issues with this software on my windows 8.1 pc.
I’ve tried to uninstall it in the easy way and also with its tool, but I get errors. And at a certain point I’m asked for a psw which I don’t absolutely remember.
Can I act through the registry or through a script?
Could you please help me solve this nightmare?November 15, 2020 at 3:25 am #27347TechexpertKeymasterPlease answer the following questions so that we can suggest something more.
- Is this a paid version or a trial version?
- Have you ever set any password on the bitdefeder?
- Which operating system do you have?

Can I act through the registry or through a script?November 17, 2020 at 2:15 pm #27430TechexpertKeymasterHave you ever set up a password for Bitdefender Antivirus? Since the password is mandatory, you won’t be able to uninstall it without having the correct password. Please try to remember your password.
Uninstalling the antivirus manually can be a bit tricky and risky, I wouldn’t recommend this. But what if it gives you an error message while uninstalling? In this case, you’ll have to remove it manually.
Can you please share that error message with us here?
Here we are sharing with you the following methods to uninstall bitdefender. Opt one of them and apply.
Option 1: Restart your computer in safemode and then try to uninstall it. If you still get the error message in safemode, then leave it and go to option 2.
Option 2: Uninstall Bitdefender Antivirus automatically using 3rd party uninstaller tools like REVO uninstaller, Geeks Uninstaler.
Option 3: Uninstall Bitdefender Antivirus manually.
1) Restart your computer in Safe mode.

No, the password was set in 2016…🤷♀️🤦♀️.
The uninstalling tool would not remove it completely, showing just a plain message saying that there was an error removing it.
I had to bring the pc back to a previous restore pointto have it working.
I will try with your precious tips in about 16 days time, and will let you know.
Thank you very much!
