Copy file from Windows Server 2012R2 to Windows 10 64bit very slow
We bought a new PC that is running Windows 10 64bit OS. When I copy file from Windows Server 2012R2 by share folder, the time is very slow and sometimes seem stop. I search from web which say it may be caused by the network card overload function. Thus, I tried to disabled and updated the network card driver but it still have the problem.
Could anyone can help me ?
The other PCs does not have this problem. If copy file from Windows Server 2008 to this PC also no problem.
Thanks a lot.
There are lots of reason behind that. We’ll highlight all we know but you have to find out the main reason behind that.
- The network copy speed depands on “File System (NTFS or FAT).” Maybe vary if you copy from ntfs to fat.
- The network copy speed also depands on network cable. Make sure it is properly connected and “CAT6” type cable. Also make sure its connection points not rusted.
