  • Copy file from Windows Server 2012R2 to Windows 10 64bit very slow

We bought a new PC that is running Windows 10 64bit OS. When I copy file from Windows Server 2012R2 by share folder, the time is very slow and sometimes seem stop. I search from web which say it may be caused by the network card overload function. Thus, I tried to disabled and updated the network card driver but it still have the problem.

Could anyone can help me ?

The other PCs does not have this problem. If copy file from Windows Server 2008 to this PC also no problem.

    Thanks a lot.

There are lots of reason behind that. We’ll highlight all we know but you have to find out the main reason behind that.

    1. The network copy speed depands on “File System (NTFS or FAT).” Maybe vary if you copy from ntfs to fat.
    2. The network copy speed also depands on network cable. Make sure it is properly connected and “CAT6” type cable. Also make sure its connection points not rusted.
